Using Glean for your notes

Glean is note-taking software that works with audio or video content, or with lectures and slides.

It enables you to record the audio, pick out key moments, add headings and tasks, and add your own notes. Glean teaches you how to recognise what is important and to focus on those points in teaching. Audio can be recorded live or from a computer. This video below shows you how it works.

There is a cost for this software, which can often be covered by DSA (Disabled Student’s Allowance) for eligible students. The University has some licences and you should speak to your disability adviser if you require one. For students who are not disabled, you can purchase Glean on an individual licence.
